Louie is chipped because he came from Columbia Second Chance, and they chip all of the dogs they adopt out. I would have done it anyway, though. I also think the ID tags are important because if he gets away from me, I think non-dog owners would just not know anything about a microchip. This way, they have my phone number and I can get my baby back quickly
