I think it's one of the safest procedures you can do, it has returned millions of lost pets, and several of those pets have belonged to people who are members of Yorkietalk! There's a thread going now, http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...1-miracle.html that tells an unbelievable story of yorkie and his microchip! Joey is microchipped and it makes me feel so much better. Dogs can't talk and there's no way they can tell anyone who they belong to, so this microchip does just that. I mean you never expect to lose your pet, but strange things can happen. By the way, I do think the best time to get it is when they are under sedation, so that they can't flinch.
