I'm very impressed by all of you who have your pups trained not to eat from the floor! I can't really think of a time where Levi has gotten into dropped food - it's only me or my brother here with the pups, and we're both neurotic about keeping the house dog-proof. The only real trouble we've had is my brother's bigger pup getting into the trash can. Levi's too small to do that kind of damage.
Levi would, however, probably eat any kind of food that falls to the floor. He knows the command "out" for "drop it immediately," but if there were food involved, he'd probably take that to mean "swallow quickly."
