OMg... Thank You !! Thank you....

Dogs and onions.... I had no idea! How ironic that just last night I was cutting up some onions to go on top of my coney dog and I dropped some on the floor. Ruby was the only one in the area that shouldn't have been. I' am so happy that I have taught them all to not eat off of the floor or I could have been in for a real shocker and possibly a very sick pup !!! WARNING! Onions Are Toxic to Dogs

I too do not allow my dogs to eat off of the floor or to take food from anyone else.

People food in a big NO NO in our home. except for the occational peanit or popcorn. I have taught the dogs that they are not allowed in the kitchen when food is being prepared or when we are at the dinner table eating our meal. Occasionally one of them gets by me (usually Ruby) that I have to shoo into the other room. We are still working on that....but all in all they do pretty great. On the other hand when it comes to me clearing the table after a meal... they watch every little morsel like a hawk.

I have also taught them not to take food from a child. Had to do this due to my child care services that I provide in my home. They also will not take treats from other people (vet. , my mother).
