We use turkey hot dog weenies as per instruction of our training teacher. I buy the Oscar Meyer brand. I take the weenie and heat it for 20 seconds. I then cut it into 1/4 inch coins. I then take each coin and cut it into about 8 tiny pieces. You can get a lot of treats out of one weenie. Most of the other dogs in our class either halve the coin or leave it whole, but since KS is so small, I cut her's up teeny tiny. She adores them! I can say the word 'weenie' and no matter where she is or what she is doing, she comes running!!! They are her favorite! We only give a little bit each day, don't want to overfeed. I would say one weenie chopped up lasts us at least 4 days. So in the end, if you think about it a package of 8 weenies will last you a really long time.
