I had a puppy, chew into a tube of superglue, got it out my purse on the floor, it stuck on his lips and teeth, he did not ingest it so it was funny to see him deal with it stuck on his teeth and lips/

Another one my dogs chewed the tassel right off a party guests loafer while he was wearing them! did not notice it until someone saw the tassel laying on the floor.

Lola's nick name is sparky, she chewed through a lamp cord that is plugged into the floor under the couch, the lamp was not on but she was shocked enough that she smelled funny and screamed loud, it also shorted out the lamp. After quickly doing an internet search I read that there can be delayed reactions, so we took her to the ER vet, she was fine, the next day I blocked all the outlets that had stuff plugged in to them with pillows and large plastic containers and lids. She also likes to chew anything that lands on the floor such as eye glasses, pens, fabric softener sheets, etc

On a really serious note I have had two friends that had dogs almost die this summer from chewing and then eating something bad. Yellow Lab got into guerilla glue ate almost the whole tube. This type of glue swells up and apparently tastes good to dogs. The glue was on the kitchen counter, dog got up on his hind legs, to get it off. The lab was not quite 2 years old, she required extensive surgery as the glue was attached to a lot of different organs. The dog required about 40 stitches because she had to be cut open almost from her neck to her groin.
The other was a Cav. King Charles, she ate a maxi pad and needed surgery as well.
It is amazing what dogs will eat and chew.
