I have a Wahl medalist( it's the small clipper) you start half way down the
ear and go up on the inside and outside. Only clip half way up. This
is something I learned after a few years. When you sissor around the out
side of the ear, do it after a bath when the hair is wet...that way you can
use your fingers to make it stick out and it stays in place so it is easy to
cut. Hope this helps.
