Ok guys back from the vet. I'm posting from my phone so bear with me. After talking w the Dr at length we decided to do the steriod shot and antihistamines. Sent me home w mediated shampoo that I must bathe Uni 2x weekly, I was doing only once a week. Prednisone and chlorpheniramine tabs. Also got her annual bloodwork done, heartworm test, heartguard plus, and her nails did. LOL she was such a good girl. So far no scratching yet since she got the shot.
Oh also that bump on her elbow, was a tick! Omg
it was there a long time! I had no idea. Never seen one in real life before.
So Dr wants to see her again in 3 wks to follow up. I really like this hospital. Dr stayed explaining options and everything for nearly an hour.
For a bit over $300 not too bad. I felt like we were taken good care of.
