As a breeder I would be doing that too, fortunately I been able to place the small runts that I had with family members, and like your breeder I held on to them for a long time to make sure they were healthy and with no problems, I breed silky terriers, which MOST of the time are bigger than yorkies, but I had some small ones too. if Taken care of them properly some runts play catch up by the time they are 3 or 4 months, some stay small but healthy some have problems due to their position in the uterine horn. Hope your baby catches up and be healthy .
best of luck.. Size wise is VERY difficult to predict with a Runt but most of them stay smaller than their litter mates.
