I consider Bam a toy Yorkie because he is too big to be a teacup and too small to be a standard size. At 5.5 pounds, he is in the middle.
Hi welcome to Yorkie Talk. Tons of great info here and I myself am new to the world of yorkies and am still learning everyday

What exactly does "opted to never have his ears pointed" mean? My Bubba's ears have always been upright, and the breeder warned me that while teething they may flop? Is there something I should consider doing to either keep them up or let them flop?

I know exactly what you mean about teddy bear vs teacup, I have an english golden yellow lab and even though akc didn't allow me to change the breed, I know that is what he is because he is darker than a yellow but no way near being a chocolate. Plus, he doesn't have a boxy head, like the standard yellow lab, and doesn't look fat like they do either. Cute baby by the way.
