After Kiko is used to doing a command for food treats, I will start using it when we play fetch; if she wants me to throw the toy, she has to complete the command. Oh, something that helps her get the hang of commands faster is lots of short "training" sessions, just a few minutes at a time, but multiple times a day, be sure to keep it fun for both of you.
