I just looked up the dosage for Cerenia in my notebook i carried while a tech. The dosage for motion sickness is higher then the dosage for acute vomiting so if you only give 1/2 or 1 pill then it probably won't work. For a 10 lb dog, he should be getting 2 24mg tablets two hours before traveling. He should also be fasted 1 hour before given the tablet for it to be most effective. So a total of 3 hours preparation for traveling. LOL
