I guess what people are saying to you is that officially there is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. As has already been stated the AKC puts the Yorkie in the Toy grouping. Some people breed Yorkies and other small breeds to be as small as possible and then give it a label of "teacup" to attract buyers who want a very small dog.

Yorkie's ears are not cropped. They are supposed to go up naturally. Some Yorkie's ears never go up but that does not make them less of a Yorkie. Some people prefer the floppy ear look. For me it is the Yorkie personality that is the most endearing asset.
