Here is a link, that estimates what a puppy might end up weighing as an adult. Yorkshire Terrier - Yorkie Puppy Growth/Weight Chart - watch us grow No breeder can give any guarantees about final adult weight; the more informed and experienced and knowledgeable the breeder is, the more accurate "guess" they can make.

You will have a better idea as your puppy gets older what that weight might be.

I wouldn't worry so much about him being over 7lbs unless you are buying him so show.
