That's so wonderful that you and your husband are doing that together!! I have run 5 marathons, then I was very sick and had surgery and after 2 years, I'm starting back. I'm running a 5 K in Feb. With my 23year old daughter. I bought an app for my Iphone that is really helping me with my training.
I will tell you, training is important....eating right, getting enough sleep, etc....but a huge part is in your head....if you want to do it, you can!!
Oh, and shoes.... You must have good shoes -have a running store help you with that. Running/walking a marathon makes you feel so good!! It makes you feel like you can do anything you set your mind to! :-) and remember on day of your race, don't do anything new! That's not the time to try something different!!
