I know you've probably heard it before, but drink lots of water, it can really help. I try to drink water before my elliptical training, but also drink at least 2 bottles during. Also, water helps with quitting smoking. By the way, the nicotine patches worked for me. After I could manage one patch a day without getting in a fight with anyone, I cut it in half and used that for several weeks/months, then I cut that in half again. I never rushed myself, and some days I actually forgot to change the patch, but the secret is doing it slowly. Your brain actually makes nicotine, but when you start to smoke, you kill nearly all your nicotine receptors; you might have one lousy receptor where you use to have 100. So the idea is to get these nicotine receptors healthy and soon your brain will be happy with the small amounts of nicotine that it actually makes. Anyway, best of luck with your walk, you’re doing a great think, and you’ll have more energy for those trips to Disneyland!
