Yep, you will definitely get lots of opinions.
To each their own, I really think almost anything would be better than Beneful, lol, but I am no professional. Purina offers better products, though I'm not a huge fan of Purina in general, but yeah they have a few formulas that are better than their typical "Dog Chow" and "Beneful" foods.
I only take what these review sites say with a grain of salt, because hey, if a dog is doing well on a two star food, then it's obviously not two star for your dog. But I do think it's a good basic source of information for a somewhat newbie to dog nutrition, just a place to view all the different brands, read comments from users, etc. Keep in mind that just because a food is 5 star does not mean it's the greatest, either, because the site doesn't take into account company ethics and production, and all that.
But I do believe it to be pretty spot on with Beneful.
