We recently got our new little girl, Tara, around the end of November. Tara was born on Sept 20th, and today she started going into heat. We thought something was up this morning because Bender started acting funny, so we put her panties and his belly band on just to make sure. Well, sure enough shes swollen down there, and Bender isnt 'playing' normally anymore. He seems to be ready to take care of business. We are being really careful to keep them separated because Tara is just TOO young. We dont want to risk anything happening. I was just wondering if this is normal? I have never had a female have her first heat before 6 months before. Is our little Tara just growing up fast or is this something to worry about? Thanks ahead of time!
