Rudy and Sophie are "close" but can they see eachother while in their separate crates? You can try putting the crates so the front doors can actually see eachother, like facing one another. Are the crates in a room where they normally get to be when they are not being crated? Just some ideas. It will get better. I forgot to say, congrats on your new baby!
We have a lullaby cd with a heartbeat in the background that we play and we have their crates facing one another. I think she's probably just used to sleeping with her siblings, but I'm afraid if we tried to have her and Sophie sleep together Sophie would get a little aggressive.

Sometimes Sophie will go cuddle with her, other times she gets startled by Rudy when sleeping and snaps. It's only a week and a half, so hopefully it will get better soon!
