Just to give some background my Dad is one of the hardest working men I know. He's been working for the family business since he graduated college at 22. Many times his paycheck was at poverty level (due to shifty family relations) and many times as kids, my brother and I rarely saw my Dad because he would be pulling a 60+ hour work week.
Well in 2009 we lost the family business. That means my Dad, Mom, and brother lost their jobs. We decided to liquidate the store so that our vendors were paid off instaed of filing bankrupt, and leaving them hanging.
Anyway, my Dad has had to start over at the age of 55. He's competing with 30 year olds for jobs who, let's face it, will work for half the price despite half the experience and are replacable.
He's been really depressed lately, and I know the current job he has (as a manager and is lifting and doing way too much grunt work) is taking a toll on his 6'7 body.
So if you could please just say some prayers that God leads him down the path that he's supposed to go, I'd apprecaite it. I've always been a Daddy's girl and it breaks my heart to see him so down.
