She has not been away from her family long enough to learn the new routine yet. It takes time, and consistant training. As she learns the daily schedule and routine she will start to hold her accidents until she knows she's going to go out. Everything is new to her, new home, new family, new routines. It all equals stress and means an adjustment period where you can't really expect a lot from them, and they are all very different in how they handle the adjustment period. You can always convert them to a play pen like the breeder had, but every time you change up your plan you are essentially starting over. My Mylee never did accept a crate. The only dog I've ever had that would not. We eventually resorted to leaving her out with Moka and restricting her to small areas of the house instead and this worked well, but I am a firm believer in crates or playpen training.
