Default Foxy's Mom -

I can really feel your pain. Nip was diagnosed with Cateracts about 7 years ago and they progressively got worse to the point of blindness. Just about 4 months ago, she was diagnosed with severe glaucoma... we had no idea. About 2.5 years ago, Nip was diagnosed with kidney problems - we almost lost her until we literally nursed her back to health with low protein canned food, thinned with water, fed thru a dropper! When the cateracts appeared, we considered taking her to MSU, but decided against it since there were no guarantees. Same with the kidney problems. As a matter of fact, my neighbor's son is a grad of the MSU Vet School, and he came to look at her, and he didn't have any good opinions about her health. In our case, Nipper's time was up. Foxy is so young, but even humans can die young with diseased organs. Keep her comfortable and happy. We were always told that we'd "know" when it was time. We knew last Friday morning, but she gave up before we had to make the decision. I will pass that bit of wisdom on to you... you will "know" when it is time. If it isn't the time now, you will know when it is. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Lorie
