Orijen is a great food but it's often WAY too rich for most dogs, especially coming from RC (which is a decent food, as well, but certainly not as rich). Orijen does not work for all dogs. Also, you are supposed to mix 75% old food with 25% new. Half and half was probably not a gradual enough transition for him.
