I had a friend that bought a sihtzu at a pet store. I fell in love with the puppy and contacted the same breeder later and bought a puppy. The breeder met me at a DQ with my puppy. Don't ever do this!
I learned my lesson in a very hard way! Later my Grandkids wanted one so I contacted the breeder again. This time she let me come to her home. I was amazed at her puppy mill! She had the dogs all out in a old very run down shed. She tried to sell us a puppy with a deformed foot saying it would be fine.
I spent 10 yrs out of the 13 yrs going from vet to vet with my dog.
She had everything wrong with her after she turned 3 yrs. I could write a book on her and all that was wrong with her! I put her down a year and a half ago. Hardest thing I have ever had to make a decision on! We saw so many vets and specialist. I would never take a chance from a pet store. Even my friend's dog developed problems. I hope you get lucky and the puppy is healthy.
