We've never gone anywhere that we could not take our babies but at the same time, our vacations consisted with our own boating trips.
Fortunately I have friends and neighbors that would help if I should need to leave them. I've done the same for them, and they happen to have yorkies as well so they understand the breed. So I guess it's kinda a barter/swap thing.
Others, I have read, have chosen to board. I've no experience with this but if I were to do this, I would definitely find and research a place prior to needing to use them. Maybe try them out for a day from time to time to get your dog used to the facility and staff so when and if the time should come you need to board, it is not so traumatic. (??) |
