Out of standard based on your description of the color weight and features.
"Mom is about 9 lbs, white yorkie, dad is a babyface short legged yorkie and he's a small dog, about 7 lbs before he started eating some table foods"
*Careful with the table foods.
However mine are both extremely out of standard as well. I have a 21# Schnorkie and a 12.2# Parti Yorkie. I love them dearly & appreciate their lack of conformity.
My only point in stating such is because they are out of standard this can mean, not to imply it is true but it can mean they were not matched to produce standard offspring (or as close to it as possible) or in a controlled matching, meaning well anything can pop out.
Genetics are always a roll of the dice however without careful selection the possibilities are much more vast.
I agree you should really be posing these questions to experienced breeders who can also assist you in size estimate charting-which will be just that an estimate of finishing size based on the parents and grandparents and development of the pups themselves. |
