Out of standard? Is that because one is short legged? Both are yorkies.
Yes, she's had 2 sets of puppies before and they have always done fine.
I'm going to have her spayed though. I just don't know when I should since she just had her babies. These were an accident, happened while we were all asleep.
I have heard that a yorkie shouldn't have puppies more than 2 or 3 times, but then I've heard that some have had 5 or 6 sets of pups.
This little group of angels are getting at the stage that 75% of the time they just want to cuddle up together and sleep.

Yes I have had them all to the vet. He checked the babies and mommy.
She fed the pups about 4 times today but the start with, she stayed with them constantly. I just don't remember my other pups sleeping so much.
When her last set of puppies got old enough to eat puppy food, it might have been 3 weeks, she seemed like she was weeing them away a bit from her.
Where they are only 2 wks, I just think she needs to spend a bit more time with them. I will call the vet and see if this is okay or if I would need to suppliment some milk for them. |
