I truly think my Wylie is a bit OCD; he has very specific routines. I know of a yorkie who has panic attacks.

I do think animals can have similar emotional/mental health issues that humans have - just in a somewhat different way. Some of it could be purely genetic and unexplainable. Some of it could be genetics + experience. Dogs can def feel depression, loss, they seem to grieve, can have anxiety, reaction to traumas...so yeah, I think what you're saying is very valid.
