For me, mine have never been groomed by anyone but myself. If you know the groomer and their work and completely trust them, then it's up to you. I do know they put a noose cord around their necks when they work on them and with tiny dogs, they have such delicate trachea's that are easily damaged. Maybe you could start doing the grooming. It isn't difficult at all.
