I would work with her to accept the syringe, especially because this is not a temporary med. Put her on top of a counter (if you can do this safely with her, have someone spot her if necessary), be happy and confident and establish keywords or phrases to go with the routine. If you are nervous or give off any negative vibes, she will mirror your feelings and get anxious.
You can secure and steady her head/mouth with one hand under her jaw, holding her beard. That is what I did with Max when I had to give him eye drops. He got so good that I didn't even have to hold his head.
Put the syringe deep enough into her mouth to administer all of the med. When you are finished praise her profusely and reward her with something she really likes, a treat or some play time.
