Oh that's good to know, I didn't research it, and my last hair dryer really had no filter, just a metal grate that seemed to get clogged all the time. I hated cleaning it with a toothbrush, I felt like I was pushing more in than out. This filter snaps out and is easy to wash. I've had it for over a year and I'm very happy with it. Also the shot of cold can really “set” the hair. I have a few cowlicks that need to be tamed.
