I don't have any personal experience with a male with undescended testicles, but my neighbor got a Cairn terrier puppy with that condition. She waited and waited, but still didn't descend so she finally just got him neutered via the more invasive procedure. He also had some retained baby teeth. Her vet told her that based on what he saw during the surgery, they would never have descended on their own.
But my suggestion is always to go with a vet that you trust. Since this might be a slightly more complicated procedure, it would probably be worth your peace of mind to wait until you go back to NJ and have a vet that you know and trust take care of your baby. |
