Yes, it is tragic. I got up this morning with him on my mind. The only consolation we have is that he was SO loved by Valerie and her family. Even her little female yorkie who does not like other pups was nice to him.
On another note: I had taken him to visit a friend's mother who was in the hospital back in October...smuggled him in
... it really brightened her day. She passed away two weeks later...I hope they are together now.
In Cowboy's short life he touched a lot of hearts. He is at peace now...while we wish he had had a longer life...I take comfort in knowing his life was full of love.
