Oh yes. She had a bad experience with men prior to us. The previous owner got rid of her because she couldn't spend enough time with her and wasn't giving her the needed attention. After a few weeks, my DH was at the gas station and saw her. She told him that her boyfriend didn't like Mikki at all. We think she was possibly hit by him.
But her life is much better now.
