I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes about 1.5 years ago, and boy is it a learning curve! I know exactly what you mean about feeling human again, it took me over a year. I have some damage to my nerves and eyes from being undiagnosed for a long time, so that's not fun, but I am managing and definitely feel better since being on meds and eating right.
