When they look shaggy enough to need it? Starting early helps your pup get acquainted with the grooming process and start to get used to it. Usually for the first grooming, your groomer won't want to do a full clip... just clean up the face, ears, feet and sanitary area. Just to make sure the puppy has a good experience and doesn't get scared. Then you can build on it from there.
