We finally gave in and gave our 8 year old Schnauzer a safe haven on our couch. He has to lay on a rug but Bo was also driving him insane! Amazingly though, little by little Bo has won him over so that they do play now. But when Woody is tired he lets Bo know in no uncertain terms. Some other things that have worked for us: I took some time with Bo and taught him to "sit" and "wait". That way his attention is on me and not on Woody all the time. I plan to teach him as much as I can. Yorkies are very bright. Also, I make a point of feeding Woody first, giving him treats first, etc, so Bo knows that Woody is the Alpha dog, not him. Woody is a really good dog and not agressive so this has worked. Might not work if your older one is the agressive one. Good luck! I know it's frustrating.
