Eddie has no patience. If he sits on my lap and I move for some reason, he's gone. No coming back. Same with the rare occasions that he leaves my wife's side and wants to snuggle in be with me. If I toss and turn, he moves on.

Jillie is the opposite. If she's on my lap and I get up, she waits for my return and settles back into her spot on my lap. I can get up 5 or 6 times, but each time she waits patiently for my return.

What do your Yorkies do?
