Do you have a regular vet that you use for other pets? 8 weeks and one pound is very young and small. I would suggest her staying until 12 weeks as Bitsy did. You might discuss with your vet as your new pup should be seen as well. Not to be a bubble burster, but please consult with the vet and don't just go by the word of a breeder. Some breeders are excellent don't get me wrong but there are also not so good ones too.
