The heavy/labored breathing would concern me as a ruptured diaphram is very common in HBC victims (at least bigger dogs, but could happen). Maybe a low concentration of oxygen would help her.
Head injuries can improve dramatically, but it does take time. I would make sure they understand to do everything possible for her, and not be treating her as a stray.

Hi Yes. She was scanned for a microchip. The heavy breathing is bothersome to me as well. When I pick her up on Monday I am taking her to my vet. Where she is at now, is basically just keeping her stabilized. They did say they took a full set of x rays to see if anything was broken, so I'm hoping that it would also show a ruptured diaphram. I'm not sure of the oxygen, if they gave her any or not. Possibly when she first came in. I saw her three days after the fact. Rescue 911 is going to work with me with her. Thank you for the response.
