Hello and welcome. It's great that you are learning before buying unlike many who have done it the other way around.
I always advise people to go to the AKC site and search for local breed and conformation clubs. Contacting these groups can sometimes get you in touch with a good breeder in your area. Of course you always want to still know what questions to ask and what to look for.
