To get them, he jumped onto the kitchen chair and got them off of the counter. (It is a desk area of the counter, so lower than regular counters.)
Looks like I'm going to have to make sure my counters and kitchen table are cleaned off...now that he knows how to climb on kitchen chairs!

I once got a chewed up envelope, plastic bag, business card and gift card back in the mail with a HILARIOUS note
BTW.....the Tilapia won't hurt him a bit. My 7 year old nephew ate a WHOLE BAG of Sugar's treats at Christmas time
