Bitter apple works great. Joey loved to chew on a wicker basket and I sprayed the bitter apple and let him near the basket, that was enough so he never touched it again. I wouldn't leave them around cords though for the first year. There are various things that you can buy and you can put the cords inside. 5-ft. Cord Mate White Channel Cord Cover I used the Bitter Apple on things like blinds, baskets and furniture. Bitter Apple for Dogs: 8 Ounce They sell it at Petsmart.
