Riley got electrocuted when he was a tiny puppy. I always watched him like a Hawk.... Well I had answered a phone call and had been on the phone, not even 2-mins. and he had slipped under the tv stand and behind the tv. He chewed right through the cable box cord. I head a loud pop and he came running out, SCREAMING and looking very very terrified!! Once I finally was able to get hold of him and calmed him down I checked him all over.... he was doing a cough/gag type of thing.
I ran him to the vet and they said he was very lucky!! A lot of pups are immediately knocked unconscious, or dead.... and if not, they can develop water in their lungs... which is really really bad!!

Aw poor baby. They sure are quick little boogers!!!! Glad he was fine. You must have freaked out!!
I agree you have to cover them or move them.
