This is an example of why microchips are good, and why pressuring our vets to scan every dog that comes through their doors regardless of who brought them in and whether or not they have a known microchip is needed.

This is a pretty common scam, and as being a victim myself, i can tell you it has been going on for a long time.
Ask your vets to scan your dog. Encourage them to scan all dogs.
Unfortunately there are ways around this, but it makes it, at the least, more costly, and inconvenient! |
