lol, I was doing the reverse thing on the top hair until I took a mini grooming course and was told that I was doing it wrong. lol I still do it this way because, as you said, it clips shorter.
They are just about naked in the summertime, lol, it's just so much easier on them and to see if any ticks get on them.
