Noah go to the grooming forum; we have a lot of product nuts on here; me included.
To grow coat there are some guidelines:
1. Never brush a dry and or a dirty coat - Use a grooming spray and mist the coat from root to tip. don't forget to mist underneath the hair as well as on top
2. Wash your dog frequently - every 10 days minimum more frequently for a show dog.
3. Whatever shampoo you use, rinse, rinse, rinse, and when you've thought you've rinsed enough rinse again. rinse well under armpits, behind ears, across nose. Protect ears from water and after bath use an ear cleaner inside the ear to keep inner ear clean and dry. I usually spend about 10 minutes rinsing out the final shampoo.
4. What ever conditioner you use, let it sit in the coat at least 10minutes; longer if the coat is damaged. I heat up towels wrap Razzle in the towels and sit and cuddle him for the ten minutes, He loves his bath cuddle time.
5. Make sure your dog has access to water at all times. Good quality food is a must to product a healthy coat; but so is an appropriate amount of exercise and fun. Massaging your dog every day is good for the skin and the coat.
6. You can look at coat supplements. I like the Missing Link, Dr Maggies Isle of Dogs one too.
