Hemming is not too hard. I actually prefer to hem by hand than on the sewing machine (unless it's denim). I like the blind hem stitch (really easy, should be able to find directions online).For a really finished hem you turn the edge twice (or turn it to the desired length and then fold the raw edges in), so that the raw edges are  not exposed. If the material is fleece it isn't as important to do that since fleece doesn't ravel or fray over time like other fabrics. Also, if the bottom of the legs have a band, you would take the band off, shorten the leg and sew the band back on. If you think KS might grow and need the length, you can cuff them and tack the cuff in place, so that you can let them down as needed.     |
