We saw Harlie in an online ad from the Ft. Worth Star Telegram. We knew from the start that she was from a BYB. But we also knew that this BYB was extremely well thought of and had been breeding yorkies for many years.
We went to see Harlie, about 100 miles away, and was freaked out by her overly exited manners and thought she might be a hand full. There was another BYB, also well thought of, about 10 miles down the road. Here there was a litter of 4, very adorable pups, but they seemed very quiet and subdued.
We drove back and forth 3 times trying to decide between the pups. We were able to meet the dam and sire at both breeders locations and were able review their documented lineage and AKC information. We decided on the feisty one, Harlie. She's of Brazilian ancestry and is now registered as "Harlie Queen of Court". I wouldn't take a million dollars for her... |
