Try the brand from Walgreens. I think it's called DenTek. I overfloss and am causing receding gums... but I can't help it. I hate when it feels like there is food b/t my teeth! Yuck!
I never had a cavity until 2 years ago I had to have a tooth pulled bc it had a cavity in the middle of it, that I was not aware of until the tooth cracked. Then I had to have another tooth worked on, root canal and crown. The one that cracked I had to have pulled and I now have an implant. |
Did they tell you that over flossing can cause receding gums or is this something you're just noticing on your own? I didn't know it was harmful to over floss, I wonder if the water pic would be safer, it also stimulates blood flow to the area, so maybe the gums wouldn't recede. Gums recede as you age anyway, and I wouldn't want to do anything to aggravate that. Sorry you had a broken tooth, I hear they are so painful.
